It has been a busy few weeks at Hot House HQ with lots of performing, writing (composition and copy), planning and preparation. A lot of time has gone into developing our brand new website: www.hhmusic.co.uk which has been designed and built by our good friends at www.alt-design.net if you get a spare few minutes please do check out both of these new sites.

We have our American Diner event on March 26th at Woodlands School (see below). The Saxophonix are having a “sax day” with the incredible www.andyscott.org.uk on Saturday March 26th (pm)
Saxophonix are taking part in a combined arts project administrated by Crying Out Aloud in London. The collaboration of: DEDA (Derby Dance), Circa Tsuica & Saxophonix is electrifying. Under the artistic direction of Camille Secheppett the Saxophonix are learning to perform “circus music”. Saxophonix have been invited to perform at a festival in Laval, France at the end of March this year alongside sax “super” group “Rock Sax”. Directed by Mickael Rockault, the “Rock Sax” ensemble features over 70 saxes including bass and sopranino saxophones!
Hot House will be visiting Paris for their ANNUAL PARIS TOUR at the end of July, where our super talented young musicians will be performing at the Eiffel Tower, the Sacre Coeur and the Jardins Du Luxembourg. The provisional dates for this tour are: July 25th (Monday) – July 28th(Thursday). New for this year are gigs at La Defense (financial district) and a private luxury riverboat tour and gig exclusively for Hot House musicians!
To celebrate the end of our Spring term we will be creating an “American Diner” for our end of term concert. All musicians and guests will be invited to “dress-up” (optional) as 1950’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Teddy Boys & Pink Ladies!!! There will be fresh milkshakes, ice-cream floats and Real-American hot dogs!!! This will be for all Hot Shots, Jam, Jive & Caliente musicians!
Our next major foreign tour is scheduled for New Years Eve 2015 and will see members of the Screaming Kicks Big Band performing in New York City in Time Square, followed by a handful of amazing gigs in New Orleans both at the Jazz Education Network Conference AND with local international jazz musicians. This tour is being managed by our friends at American Classic Tours.
At the end of 2015 we began proceedings to develop and launch our first European music activities. To be based near Carnac in Brittany, the Hot House “summer school” will be open to all Hot House musicians. Complete with full-board accommodation and access to games rooms and swimming pool it will be an idyllic venue for a productive summer holiday. There will also be a handful of “adult” courses for beginner artists & singers! Watch this space…
