Just do something!

Now, more than ever is the time to do something you love. Be that curling up and reading a good book, watching a film with your family, doing yet another Zoom quiz, listening to new music, (I recommend:

practicing an instrument or learning a new one.

I know it’s tempting to sit around and do nothing, but with so many things that you could do or begin to accomplish, it’s a great idea to bring a sense of normalcy in your life with a routine All of my friends agree, “It’s so weird not being able to go out and see your friend or go to school/ college or work, but hey, I’ve decided to make the most of this by starting my apprenticeship at Hot House Music’s Derby school early. I love my bi-weekly saxophone lessons (although I don’t do half the practice that I should. Shhhh don’t tell Richard), it is helping me cope emotionally and socially!

I have witnessed first-hand how booking music lessons with Hot House Music Schools is helping young students and families cope with the lock-down. You can book short 15 minutes lessons, or if you are like me, epic hour-long masterclasses. The lessons add structure and inspiration to every day.

I believe it is very important to learn more than one instrument. I can play the piano, the sax, the clarinet, the flute and sing (a little bit). If you already play an instrument, then now would be a great time to learn something new. I am sure you will love it! Who knows, I might even see you in band one day too!

If you are looking for some inspiration, I love this:
